Use the highest octane you can find and DO NOT USE "GASOHOL". The Savage engine is not designed for it. Also, the fuel companies are required to use "agricultural grade" ethanol which is roughly 50% ethanol, 40% methanol, and 10% WATER. And the longer it sits in the storage tank, the more moisture it absorbs from the air, especially in humid climates.
